Our goal was for the Long Island Sustainability Plan to truly reflect all of the region's needs and goals. This required input from a broad collection of participants, from every part of the Island, with diverse viewpoints and experiences. Hundreds of stakeholders provided their support during the planning process. Thank you all.
To meet the needs of residents both today and in the future, New York must find innovative ways for its residents and businesses to live, operate and grow while using fewer resources thereby reducing their impact on the environment.
